Well after being upgraded to a Category 3 last night, Cyclone Ului ended up being a bit of a fail. It threw a few things round and squashed a few things down at Proserpine, the Whitsundays and Mackay, and dumped a lot of water on them, but up here - within the general diameter of the cyclone area - we got nothing. I discovered that cyclones generally have a lot more action to their south (ie. more rain & more wind) which I hadn't heard before. So we sat up here, looking at the occasional fresh breeze and the smattering of rain we got, being less than impressed.
There are still a lot of clouds around though, so I'm hoping we still get a bit of rain.
