I think this is one cyclone I might pay attention to a bit more closely. The US Joint Navy Typhoon Centre predicts it crossing pretty much right at Townsville, while the Australian Met Bureau has it crossing about 200km south. Either way it looks like it is going to be pretty close, and is currently a Cat 3 with potential to either decrease or increase. Good times.

Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing, Leah. Generally I'm pretty blasé about cyclones, but this one actually seems to have the potential to cause a bit of mess. :P
Cathee- not once it gets close enough. At that point you can pretty much say for sure what condition it's going to be when it crosses the coast.
